Good Neighbor Committee: Reaching Out to Newcomers
spacer image

The North & East Neighborhood Council'’s Good Neighbor program delivers welcome baskets
to newcomers to our area. The project creates attractive straw baskets filled with
information about the Neighborhood Council and local services and even includes cookies.

The volunteer committee sets aside one Saturday a month to pay team visits to new homeowners.
The committee gets names from our helpful neighborhood realtors and averages nine deliveries a month.
Recipients have expressed surprise and delight to be welcomed in this unique manner.

Committee chair is Ronnie Marty, who created the program.
Committee members are Tari Mancus, Bessanderson McNeil, Lois Mignone, Joseph Morris, Te Everson and Patti Paul.

For more information, to volunteer or to donate baskets,
